Installation Procedure

  1. Install the amplifier to the mounting bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.
  2. Install the amplifier mounting nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the amplifier mounting bracket bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

  3. Install the console wiring harness to the amplifier.
  4. Install the remote CD changer, if equipped.

    Refer to REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT .

  5. Install the floor console to the vehicle. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR - FULL LENGTH , CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR (NON-FULL LENGTH or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR - FULL LENGTH (MANUAL TRANS) in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
  6. Install the negative battery cable.
