Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION .
  1. Remove the negative battery cables.
  2. Remove the sensor electrical connector.
  3. Remove power steering pump. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT (6.5L DIESEL) or POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT (8.1L) .

  4. Remove the sensor mounting bolt.

  5. Remove the sensor from engine.

    Important:  Care must be taken when handling the sensor.

  6. Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks or leakage and replace if necessary.
