Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Pickup) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab-Chassis Primary Tank) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab-Chassis Auxilary Tank) .
  2. Remove fuel pipe assembly from tank. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipe Assembly Replacement (Chassis to Tank) .
  3. Remove the fuel sender assembly retaining ring using the J 44402 .
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to FUEL STORAGE CAUTION in Cautions and Notices. Always use approved fuel storage container.

  4. Remove the fuel sender assembly and the seal. Discard the seal.
  5. Clean the fuel sender sealing surfaces.
