Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor harness connector. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
  2. Loosen the retaining screws (7) holding the air cleaner housing halves together.
  3. Separate the housing halves and remove the air filter element.
  4. Inspect the filter housing for debris and damage.
