Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Replace the O-ring seals exposed during component service in order to reduce the risk of fire and personal injury that may result from a fuel leak.
    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove negative battery cables.
  2. Loosen filler caps to relieve tank pressure.

  4. Release the fuel pump electrical connector.
  5. Clean both fuel line connections and surrounding areas at fuel pump before disconnecting to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system.

  7. Remove both fuel lines from fuel pump by loosening the fuel line fittings.

  9. Slide fuel pump out of bracket.
