Installation Procedure

  1. Install the surge tank.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the surge tank bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the surge tank outlet hose to the surge tank.
  4. Reposition the outlet hose clamp to the surge tank.

  5. Install the inlet hose to the surge tank.
  6. Reposition the inlet hose clamp to the surge tank.

  7. Connect the low coolant probe electrical connector.
  8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
