Installation Procedure

  1. Install the intermediate cable.
    2. Fig 1: View Of Park Brake Cable - Front/Intermediate

  2. Connect the intermediate cable to the front cable.
  3. Connect the equalizer to the rear park brake cables.
  4. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the nut to the threaded end of the intermediate cable.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

  5. Remove the safety stands.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Adjust the park brake system. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment .
