Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, 2003 Buick Park Avenue, and 2003 Buick LeSabre. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn OFF the ignition. Note the position from which the wires are removed and disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coils. Remove the 2 screws that secure the ignition coil to the ignition control module. Remove the ignition coil.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the coil screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the spark plug wires to the ignition coils. See Fig 1.
