Fuel Filler Tube: Removal

- Drain the fuel tank below the level of the fuel filler hose. See FUEL TANK DRAINING . Raise and support vehicle. Open the fuel filler door and remove fuel filler cap.
- Remove the sealing ring from around the fuel filler tube. See Figure. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the fuel filler tube cover. Remove the bolt from the fuel filler tube ground wire.
- Loosen the fuel filler tube hose clamp. Remove the fuel filler tube from the fuel filler hose. If it is necessary to remove the fuel filler hose, remove the fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .
