Wiper System And Washer System: Operation

On standard non-pulse wiper system, wiper switch operates in LOW or HIGH speed, and in MIST or WASH position. On pulse wipe delay system, wiper switch operates in LOW or HIGH, and in DELAY or MIST position. When PUSH (wash button) is pressed for more than one second, washer fluid is sprayed on windshield as long as button is held. Wiper will operate for 6 seconds after wash button is released. Wiper motor operates in either LOW or HIGH speed, depending on switch position. Rotating switch to DELAY position operates wiper intermittently, and delay can be varied from zero to 43 seconds by rotating switch. Immediate wiping can be activated by rotating switch to MIST position. Wiping action will continue as long as switch is held.
