Wiper System And Washer System: Description

NOTE: Procedures described in this article apply only to wiper/washer switch and control module systems supplied and installed by General Motors. General Motors does not install wiper or washer motor on these models from the factory. For wiper and washer motor repair procedures, refer to repair procedures supplied by individual body manufacturers.

Standard non-pulse wiper system consists of a column-mounted wiper/washer switch, wiring harness and 5-pin connector for wiper motor. Vehicles equipped with an optional pulse wiper system use a pulse wiper control module. Power for wiper/washer system is provided by a 25-amp WIPER fuse located in instrument panel fuse block.
