Inflator Module: Installation

  1. Install CPA clip and retainer to inflator module. Connect SIR lead wire to clip on steering wheel and inflator module. Install inflator module by pressing it firmly into steering wheel enough to engage and latch all four notched pins in the leaf spring. Do not pinch wires. See Figure .
  2. Reactivate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING SIR SYSTEM  . Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
