Suspension - Front Leaf Spring: Description
NOTE:
Motorhome Chassis and Commercial Van can be identified by a "P" as the fifth character of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). VIN is stamped on a metal pad, on top left end of instrument panel, near windshield.
Leaf spring assembly is attached to the front axle by "U" bolts. A kingpin is used to attach steering knuckle to front axle. The kingpin is part of bearing cap and rides in a tapered roller bearing. See Fig 1.
