Ignition System: Distributor: Installation

  1. Position distributor in engine. Ensure "O" ring is properly seated on distributor. Replace "O" ring if it is cracked or nicked. Carefully engage distributor drive with camshaft drive so that when distributor is installed properly, rotor aligns with reference mark on intake plenum.
  2. Install distributor cap. Check all high tension wires for good connections. Install hold-down nut. Connect distributor lead wire at wiring harness connector.
