Circuit Description

SERVICE THROTTLE SOON indicator light is illuminated by PCM if diagnostics have detected certain errors related to Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor. Illumination is accomplished by PCM providing a ground path for light circuit.

DTC will set when the following conditions are present:

• SERVICE THROTTLE SOON indicator light is requested on.
• No voltage drop on SERVICE THROTTLE SOON indicator light control circuit.
• Two consecutive faults detected.
• Conditions are met for 2 seconds.

Or

• SERVICE THROTTLE SOON indicator light is requested off.
• No ignition voltage on SERVICE THROTTLE SOON indicator light control circuit.
• Two consecutive faults detected.
• Conditions are met for 2 seconds.
