Turbocharger Assembly: Notes

NOTE: Manufacturer does not recommend turbocharger disassembly. Overhaul should be performed by an authorized turbocharger repair facility.

Check air intake for clogged air cleaner. Check for loose air tube connections and cracks on suction tubes. Check for air leaks at intercooler.
Check for damage to compressor blades causing an imbalance and resulting in bearing failure. Check for signs of oil leakage at compressor shaft seal. Check compressor shaft for excessive play.
Check for exhaust leaks at exhaust manifold and turbocharger. Check for exhaust pipe restrictions and restricted or damaged turbocharger oil return line.
