Fuel Rail & Injectors (PFI): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace all injector "O" rings. Lubricate "O" rings with clean engine oil. Position fuel rail assembly on intake manifold and seat injectors by hand pressure.
  2. Tighten fuel rail hold-down bolts to 84-177 INCH lbs. (10-20 N.m). Install fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and injector electrical harness connectors.
NOTE: On 4.3L Turbo, upper intake manifold must be removed in order to remove fuel rail and injectors.


To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate injector "O" rings with clean engine oil. Tighten fuel rail retaining bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
