Stop Lamp Switch

The stop lamp switch will self-adjust the first time the brake pedal returns to its stop after the switch is installed.

1. Apply the brake pedal and push the switch in until it firmly seats in the clip. "Clicks" can be heard as the threaded portion of the switch is pushed through the clip.
2. Pull the brake pedal against the pedal stop until a "click" can no longer be heard.
3. Electrical contact should occur when the brake pedal is applied 0.45-0.95 in. (11-24 mm).
