Installation (3.8L)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Ensure throttle and cruise control cables do not hold throttle valve open. Tighten retaining bolts to 11 ft. lbs. (15 N.m). Refill coolant. If IAC was removed or replaced, reset IAC motor pintle position.
  2. To reset IAC motor pintle position, turn ignition on (engine off) and then turn ignition off. Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature. Check for proper idle operation.
