Washer Motor Inoperative Testing
- Turn ignition switch to ACC or RUN position. Connect test light between ground and White wire at connector C224. If test light illuminates, go to step 2). If test light does not illuminate, repair open in White wire between fuse block and connector C224 . See Fig 1 .
- Connect test light between White wire at washer pump connector C187 and ground. If test light illuminates, go to step 3). If test light does not illuminate, repair open in White wire between washer motor connector C187 and connector C224. See Fig 1 .
- Connect fused jumper wire between ground and Pink wire at washer motor C187. If washer motor runs, go to step 4). If washer motor fails to run, replace washer motor.
- Connect fused jumper wire between ground and Pink wire at wiper switch connector C224. If washer motor runs, go to next step. If washer motor fails to run, repair Pink wire between wiper control module connector and wiper switch connector. See Fig 1 .
- Connect fused jumper between Pink wire at wiper/washer connector C221 and ground. See Fig 1 . If washer motor runs, go to step 6). If washer motor fails to run, repair open in Pink wire between wiper/washer switch connector C221.
- Connect fused jumper wire between Black wire at wiper/washer switch connector C221 and ground. Press WASH switch. If washer motor runs, repair open in Black wire between wiper/washer switch connector C221 and ground. See Fig 1 . If washer motor fails to run, replace wiper/washer switch.
