Door Locks - Power: Description
The electric door lock system consists of a lock actuator assembly at each door, switches and a relay. All doors lock and unlock manually or from door control switches. All components are serviced as complete assemblies.
The motor is a permanent magnet, 12-volt reversible type that is protected by an internal circuit breaker. Circuit breaker may require 1 to 3 minutes to reset. A 30 amp circuit breaker also protects wiring from door lock feed circuit to relay.
The relay assembly is a double-pull, double-throw relay externally grounded to body. It is located beneath right side of instrument panel behind glove compartment. Control switch is a 3-pin rocker type mounted on door armrests. Feed circuit to lock switches is protected by a 20 amp fuse.
