ECM Trouble Code Identification

ECM TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION

Trouble Code Malfunction
12 (1) *
13 Oxygen sensor circuit.
14 Shorted coolant sensor circuit.
15 Open coolant sensor circuit.
21 Idle switch circuit open or WOT switch circuit shorted.
22 Fuel cut solenoid circuit open or grounded.
23 Mixture control solenoid circuit open or grounded.
25 Air switching solenoid circuit open or grounded.
31 No ignition reference pulses to ECM.
44 Lean oxygen sensor indication.
45 Rich oxygen sensor indication.
51 Shorted fuel cut solenoid circuit or faulty ECM.
52 Faulty ECM (RAM error).
53 Shorted air switching solenoid and/or faulty ECM.
54 Shorted mixture control solenoid and/or faulty ECM.
55 Faulty ECM.
(1) "12" will display only if no ignition reference pulses are received by the ECM; it will never be stored as a malfunction.
