Programmable Read Only Memory (Prom) R & I: Removal

1. Remove ECM as previously described. Position ECM so that access cover is facing upward. Remove PROM access cover screws and cover.
2. Grasp PROM carrier at narrow ends. Gently rock PROM from side to side while pulling up on PROM. Remove PROM from PROM carrier. Note the location of reference notches in the PROM and ECM for reassembly reference. See Fig 1 .
