Poor Engine Performance Problems

  1. Disconnect 4-pin connector at distributor. Install a jumper wire between pins "A" and "C" of distributor connector. If problem remains, check other causes of poor engine performance.
  2. If problem stops, reconnect 4-pin connector. Disconnect 10-pin ESC connector. Attach ohmmeter between pins "B" and "K" to confirm 99 ohms. If not, measure resistance between sensor and ground. If meter reads 99 ohms, repair circuit between sensor and pin "B". If not, replace sensor.
  3. If ohmmeter reading is correct, assemble 10-pin connector. Connect voltmeter between wire of pin "H" and wire of pin "K" with ignition on. Meter should read over 0.2 volts. If reading is correct and problem remains, replace ESC controller. If not, repair harness.
