4-CYL. Models: Installation

Clean mating surfaces of water pump and engine block. Using a new gasket, install water pump making sure attaching bolts are tightened uniformly.

NOTE: On V8 gasoline and diesel engines, apply a 1/8" bead of RTV sealant to sealing edges of water pump before installing.
