Steering Column Lock Module (SCLM): Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the BCM following the on-screen instructions.

  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the BCM to Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) configuration/training procedure. Refer to: Anti-Theft Key Programming - Scan Tool .

  4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the BCM self-test. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and then retrieve the DTCs from the BCM to confirm all DTCs have been cleared.
