DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P0A78:96 Drive Motor 'A' Inverter Performance: Component Internal Failure This DTC sets when the module detects an internal hardware issue. SOBDMC P0A7A:96 Generator Inverter Performance: Component Internal Failure This DTC sets when the module detects an internal hardware issue. Possible Causes
- Inverter System Controller (ISC)
- W1 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Are any Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s other than P0A78:96 or P0A7A:96 present?
Yes DIAGNOSE all other Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s. REFER to the DTC chart in This Service Information. No GO to W2 - W2 CLEAR AND READ THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- CLEAR the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Is DTC P0A78:96 or P0A7A:96 the only DTC from the Inverter System Controller (ISC)?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Inverter System Controller (ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC] . No DIAGNOSE all other Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s. REFER to the DTC chart in This Service Information.
