Pinpoint Test Cm: P174E

  1. NOTE: The Inverter System Controller (ISC) is referred to as the SOBDMC (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module C) in the scan tool.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Electric Powertrain Control - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    SOBDMC P174E:00 Output Shaft Speed / ABS Wheel Speed Correlation: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when the output shaft speed is different than the average wheel speeds reported by the ABS module.

    Possible Causes 

    • Broken or disconnected half shaft
    • Incorrect wheel speed values

  2. CM1 INSPECT THE HALF SHAFTS

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Visually inspect all half shafts for damage.

    Is a concern present? 

    Yes  REPAIR as necessary. CLEAR the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s and REPEAT the self-test.
    No  GO to  CM2
  3. CM2 CHECK FOR ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.

    Are any ABSDTC s present? 

    Yes  REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL (DIAGNOSIS & TESTING) .
    No  DIAGNOSE the observable symptom.
