Check liftgate-to-body dimensions. Refer to the appropriate Body Repairs service information.
Adjustment

All alignments
Position aside the load compartment luggage cover.

1. Remove the bolts.
  Torque : 9 Nm
2. Remove the retainers.
3. Remove the liftgate opening trim panel.

Remove the liftgate striker.
Torque : 20 Nm

Liftgate left and right, up and down alignment
Loosen the bolts. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

Carefully close the liftgate.

Loosen the nuts. Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

NOTE: Nominal overslam bumpers have a small lip and should be adjusted flush with the sheet metal surface.

Adjust the nominal overslam bumpers.
