Rear Door Alignment

Inspection 

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
  1. Inspect the rear door-to-body dimensions.

    Adjustment 

    All alignments 

  2. Open the rear door.

  3. Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.

    Torque

    : 25 Nm

    Rear door in and out, up and down alignment 

  4. Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  5. Adjust the door as required.

  6. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque

    : 48 Nm

    Rear door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  7. Open the front door.

  8. Remove the B-pillar trim panel. Refer to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .
  9. Loosen the fasteners to permit movement of the door.Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  10. Carefully close the rear door.

  11. Loosen the fsateners to permit movement of the door.Loosen: : 2 turn(s)

  13. Adjust the door as required.

  16. Tighten the nuts and the bolt.

    Torque

    : nuts: 30 Nm bolt: 30 Nm

  17. Tighten the bolts.

    Torque

    : 1: 10 Nm 2: 30 Nm

    All alignments 

  18. Install the striker assembly.

    Torque

    : 25 Nm

  19. Inspect the body-to-rear door dimensions.

  20. Install the removed components.
