Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

Adjustment
- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- Release the retainers and remove the lower RH center stack trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Position aside the lower steering column trim panel, release the retainers and remove the lower LH center stack trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Remove the bolts and the lower center stack trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

- Position the selector lever in D.
- Release the retainers remove the floor console upper trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Unlock the selector lever cable adjuster.
- Disconnect the selector lever cable from the transmission manual lever.
- Position the manual lever in D.
- Rotate the manual lever clockwise until it stops.
- Rotate the manual lever counterclockwise 3 detents.
- Connect the selector lever cable to the transmission manual lever.

NOTE: Ensure that the selector lever cable adjustment mechanism is locked.
Lock the selector lever cable adjuster.

- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Install the floor console upper trim panel.
- Position the selector lever in P.

- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Install the lower center stack trim panel and the bolts.
Torque
: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)
- Install the lower LH center stack trim panel and position back the lower steering column trim panel.
- Install the lower RH center stack trim panel.
- Verify the vehicle starts in P and N only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in R.
