Piston Selection

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations refer to OEM Color Coding .

Check 

  1. Refer to specifications for piston selection. Refer to: Specifications - 2.7L . Refer to: Specifications - 3.3L . Refer to: Specifications - 3.5L PowerBoost . Refer to: Specifications - 3.5L EcoBoost .
  2. NOTE: The cylinder bore must be within the specifications for taper and out-of-round before fitting a piston.

    • Measure the cylinder bore in 2 directions.

    • Select a piston size based on the cylinder bore.
