Possible Causes

  1. YA1: CONFIGURE THE PCM 
    • Ignition ON, engine OFF.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM programming procedure. For additional information, refer to the Module Configuration article.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON, engine OFF.
    • Clear the PCM DTCs.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON, engine OFF.

    Carry out the PCM KOEO self-test.

    • Does DTC U034B return? 
    Yes No
    INSTALL a new PCM.
    CHECK OASIS for any service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA.
    If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions.
    If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to the appropriate Electronic Engine Controls article.    		 The condition causing the DTC was most likely due to an incomplete PMI. The concern has been repaired.
