Possible Causes
- Incorrect PCM installed
- PCM configured incorrectly
- YA1: CONFIGURE THE PCM
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM programming procedure. For additional information, refer to the Module Configuration article.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Clear the PCM DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
Carry out the PCM KOEO self-test.
- Does DTC U034B return?
Yes No INSTALL a new PCM.
CHECK OASIS for any service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA.
If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions.
If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to the appropriate Electronic Engine Controls article.The condition causing the DTC was most likely due to an incomplete PMI. The concern has been repaired.
