Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Programming

    Use the General Equipment: Ford Diagnostic Equipment

  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors and harness retainers.

  3. Remove the harness routing bracket.

  4. Remove the nuts and the PCM. Remove the PCM from the bracket.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
