NOTE:
Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect the performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
- Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the front camber. Use the General Equipment: Wheel Alignment System
- On both sides. Remove the front fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield
.NOTE: To decrease negative camber.
- On both sides. Remove and discard the upper arm bolts.
- Select the correct shim.
Camber Shim Pack Location Blue = 1 mm Red = 3 mm Gold = 5 mm Sensitivity (Degrees) (Degrees) (Degrees) (Deg/mm Shim) Front Upper Control Arm +0.15 +0.44 +0.73 0.146 - On both sides. Install the shim(s) and new upper arm bolts as needed in the necessary location to achieve the desired camber setting.
- On both sides. Tighten the new upper arm bolts.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
NOTE: To increase negative camber. - On both sides. Remove and discard the lower arm bolts.
- Select the correct shim.
Camber Shim Pack Location Blue = 1 mm Red = 3 mm Gold = 5 mm Sensitivity (Degrees) (Degrees) (Degrees) (Deg/mm Shim) Front Lower Control Arm -0.15 -0.45 -0.75 0.151 - On both sides. Install the shim(s) and new lower arm bolts as needed in the necessary location to achieve the desired camber setting.
- On both sides. Tighten the new lower arm bolts.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- On both sides. Install the front fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, recheck the front camber. Adjust as necessary. Use the General Equipment: Wheel Alignment System
