Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

Launch control is activated through the message center and steering wheel controls. Once all conditions for the launch control system have been met, the system can be activated. When the driver activates launch control, the IPC sends the launch control message to the GWM along the HS-CAN3. The GWM converts the message and sends the message out to the ABS module, PCM and TCM along the HS-CAN1 and HS-CAN2. The other modules respond by modifying their normal operating parameters for launch control operation.

A fault condition in any of the modules or in any CAN results in launch control system failure or the inability to activate the launch control system.
