Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

When the ignition is set to ON, the ABS module and the BCM share VIN information through the GWM over the HS-CAN1 and HS-CAN2. If the ABS module has a different VIN than the BCM due to incorrect module configuration, this DTC sets. 

PPT AF ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fautl Trigger Conditions
U3002-51 Vehicle Identification Number: Not Programmed Sets when the VIN message sent by the BCM, through the GWM and over the HS-CAN, contains 'null' or 'Vin_not_programmed' instead of the actual VIN. This indicates the VIN has not yet been programmed.
U3002:62 Vehicle Identification Number: Signal Compare Failure Sets when the VIN message sent by the BCM, through the GWM and over the HS-CAN, does not match the VIN stored in the ABS module.
