Windshield Wiper Motor: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the wiper linkage assembly. Refer to: Wiper Linkage Assembly .
  2. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the link seals during removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor windshield wiper performance.

    Detach the RH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

    1. Detach the link.
    2. Position the link aside.

  3. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the link seals during removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor windshield wiper performance.

    Detach the LH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

    1. Detach the link.
    2. Position the link aside.

  4. Remove the windshield wiper motor bolts and motor clamp plates.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  5. Remove the windshield wiper motor from the wiper linkage assembly.
