Transfer Case Shift Lever: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Position the transfer case shift lever in neutral.

Remove the transfer case shift lever knob.

Remove the shift lever trim and boot.
- Release the shift lever trim clips.
- Remove the shift lever trim and boot.

Remove the shift lever bolts.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

- Disconnect the shift lever cable.
- Release the lock and position aside the shift lever cable.

Remove the shift lever assembly.
