    Yes No
DIAGNOSE all BCM DTCs before continuing with this pinpoint test. REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
If the scan tool can communicate with the BCM but there are no DTCs present, Go to  Z5.
If the scan tool cannot communicate with the BCM, REFER to CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
  5. Z5: CONFIGURE THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE)
    • Ignition ON.
    • Carry out the BCM programming procedure as directed by the diagnostic scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE PROGRAMMING .
    • Put the ABS module in sleep mode by performing the following steps:
      • With ALL doors closed, set the ignition from ON to OFF.
      • Disconnect the diagnostic scan tool.
      • Open the door, exit the vehicle and close the door.
      • Wait a minimum of 90 seconds for the ABS module to enter sleep mode.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Clear the ABS DTCs.
    • Carry out the ABS self-test.

Is the original DTC currently present and active?

    Yes No
Go to  Z8 The system is operating correctly. The concern was caused by an incomplete or improper programming session.
  6. Z6: CONFIGURE THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE USING PMI (PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION)
    • Ignition ON.
    • Carry out the ABS Configuration routine as directed by the diagnostic scan tool.

  7. Z7: CONFIGURE THE SASM (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR MODULE)
    • Ignition ON.
    • Carry out the SASM programming procedure as directed by the diagnostic scan tool.
