Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

With the ignition ON, the RCM sends messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the ABS module sets a DTCs. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the RCM, refer to the Description and Operation in the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control article.

PPT BH ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C0061:28 Lateral Acceleration Sensor: Signal Bias Level Out of Range/Zero Adjustment Failure Sets if the learned lateral acceleration sensor offset exceeds the programmed limits.
C0061:64 Lateral Acceleration Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets if the lateral acceleration does not match other sensor input or calculated values.
C0062:28 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor: Signal Bias Level Out of Range/Zero Adjustment Failure Sets if the learned longitudinal acceleration sensor offset exceeds the programmed limits.
C0062:64 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets if the longitudinal acceleration does not match other sensor input or calculated values.
C0063:64 Yaw Rate Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets if the yaw rate does not match other sensor input or calculated values.
C0064:28 Roll Rate Sensor: Signal Bias Level Out of Range/Zero Adjustment Failure Sets if the difference between the measured roll rate and the calculated roll rate is greater than a predetermined limit.
C0064:64 Roll Rate Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets if the roll rate does not match other sensor input or calculated values.
U0151:00 Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets in the ABS module if the time allotted for stability sensor messages expires before the ABS module receives any stability sensor messages.
U0452:00 Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the yaw rate, roll rate, longitudinal acceleration or lateral acceleration messages from the RCM are invalid.
U0452:41 Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: General Checksum Failure This DTC sets if the yaw rate, lateral acceleration or longitudinal acceleration message checksum is incorrect or does not match the calculated checksum more than twice.
U0425:86 Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: Signal Invalid This DTC sets if the yaw rate, roll rate, longitudinal acceleration and lateral acceleration messages from the RCM are invalid.
