Transmission External Sealing
The transmission main control cover has a reusable gasket.
The transmission fluid cooler tubes use 2 rubber seals with plastic backing rings to seal the tubes to the transmission case.
The LH halfshaft seal is a unitized seal pressed into the transmission case.
The RH halfshaft seal is a unitized seal pressed into the torque converter housing.
The selector shaft seal is a lip seal pressed into the transmission case.
The TSS uses an O-ring seal to seal the sensor to the transmission case.
The transmission has 1 pressure test tap plug.
The transmission fluid fill plug is near the LH halfshaft seal.
The transmission fluid drain plug is at the bottom of the transmission case.
The torque converter hub seal is a lip seal pressed into the torque converter housing.
