Selector Lever Assembly: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. NOTE: Do not pull or pry on the selector lever cable or the selector lever cable end may be damaged. Use a screwdriver and turn the screwdriver as shown to pry the cable end off the post as close to the post as possible.

    Using a screwdriver, pry the selector lever cable end from the selector lever and remove the selector lever cable retainer bolt.

    Torque

    : 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

  3. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.

  4. Starting from the front corners, carefully pry up the bezel and position it out of the way.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  6. Open the floor console lid.

  7. NOTE: If necessary, position the seat rearward.

    Release the clips and remove the floor console RH side trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  8. Remove the RH side front screws.

  9. NOTE: If necessary, position the seat rearward.

    Release the clips and remove the LH side trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  10. Remove the LH side front screws.

  11. Release the clips, position the selector lever bezel and boot aside and remove the floor console upper trim panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  12. Disconnect the selector lever assembly electrical connector.

  13. Remove the bolts, the nuts and the selector lever assembly.

    Torque

    : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
