Component Description: BCM

The BCM determines the ignition mode based on the push button ignition switch input, the stoplamp switch input and RFA module messages. The BCM communicates the ignition mode to the other modules over the MS-CAN.

The BCM monitors the push button ignition switch input and the ignition mode outputs. If a fault is detected with the ignition switch system, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the BCM.

The BCM requires PMI when replaced.
