Normal Operation

The PSCM continually monitors and adjusts steering efforts based on the torque sensor inputs to enhance feel of the steering system. Compensation is made to reduce the effect of pull or drift experienced when driving on roads with a high degree of camber. If the level of compensation required to keep the vehicle driving straight ahead exceeds a preset level a DTC is set.

  1. T1: VISUAL INSPECTION 
Yes No
REPAIR the concern identified during the visual inspection. CLEAR the DTCs. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RESET the compensation value for the pull/drift compensation function and the compensation value for the steering straight ahead position. TEST the system for normal operation. CLEAR the DTCs. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RESET the compensation value for the pull/drift compensation function and the compensation value for the steering straight ahead position. TEST the system for normal operation.
