Rear Climate Control Housing: Removal

- 1.
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
- 2.
Remove the LH front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
- 3.
Remove the second row double seat. Refer to: Second Row Double Seat .
- 5.
- Position aside the rear door weatherstrip and the safety belt.
- Remove the retainers and the rear scuff plate trim panel.
- 6.
Position aside the front door weatherstrip, release the clips and remove the front door scuffplate trim panel.
- 7.
- Remove the safety belt anchor bolt and position aside the safety belt and the rear door weatherstrip.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Release the clips, slide up and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
- Remove the safety belt anchor bolt and position aside the safety belt and the rear door weatherstrip.

Remove the retainers and position aside the front floor carpet. Use the General Equipment: Retaining Strap
- 11.
- Remove the retainers.
- Detach the tabs and then remove the rear thermostatic expansion valve cover.
- 13.
- Disconnect the rear blower motor control module, rear evaporator temperature sensor and the rear thermostatic expansion valve electrical connectors.
- Remove the retainers and the bolt. Disconnect the rear heater electrical connectors and position aside the LH and RH cross floor duct.
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- 14.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Position aside the rear evaporator rear outlet and inlet line. Remove the bolts, stud bolt and the rear climate control housing assembly.
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
