Receiver Drier: Removal

  1. 1.

    Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .

  1. 2.

    With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

  1. 3.

    If equipped.
    • Remove the retainers and the shield plate.

  1. 4.

    Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.

  1. 5.

    Remove the retainers, the bolts and the radiator undershield.

  1. 6.

    Remove the bolts and position aside the front lower crossmember.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  1. 7.

    Remove the receiver drier plug and the receiver drier element.
