Main Control Cover: Removal

  1. 1.

    With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking and Lifting .

  1. 2.

    Remove the ACL assembly. Refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .

  1. 3.

    Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.

  1. 4.

    Remove the transmission fluid drain plug and allow the transmission fluid to drain. Install the drain plug.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  1. 5.

    Remove the nuts the retainer and position aside the temperature control valve.

  1. 6.

    Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC outlet tube and position it aside.

  1. 7.

    Disconnect the transmission main electrical connector and the wiring retainers.

  1. 8.

    NOTE: Note the location of the studbolts for assembly.

    Remove the main control cover bolts and the main control cover.
