High-Pressure Fuel Pump Drive Unit: Removal

  Disconnect both battery cables. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

• 2.
  
  Disconnect the battery cable retainer.

  Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .

• 4.
  
  Remove the strut tower cross brace bolts, remove the strut tower cross brace nuts and then remove the strut tower cross brace.

  Remove the cowl extension bolts and then remove the extension.

  Remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: High-Pressure Fuel Pump .

• 7.
  
  Remove the bolts and position aside the coolant line.

  Remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit bolts and then remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit.
