Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the PMI routine. Use the General Equipment: Ford Diagnostic Equipment

3.

Remove the LHF fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

4.

Remove the retainers and the PCM cover.

- Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
- Remove the retainers and the PCM.
